Today I am celebrating Juneteenth, as both the recognition of the formal end of slavery in the USA and also, to quote Mike Allen, a "summoning (of) the attention to begin to unravel the toxic thread slavery wove into (America's) fabric."
At LearnCollab, we believe in independent education for all who seek it. As a white male, I rededicate myself to understanding unconscious privilege and implicit bias. I pledge to make special effort to ensure that access to independent learning is available to my black brothers and sisters. We must seize this moment to finally end institutionalized racism in America.
